Neon scaled reciprocal pattern gradient nails... too many words

Welcome to this week's edition of the weekly nail art challenge (WNAC), which I co-host on Instagram along with lovely ladies Kristin of Lacquerstyle and Tracey of MissBellaTracey! The theme is gradient and the prompt is scaled! That means scaled gradient! Some of you (or none of you) may recall back in the day when I did this on my nails and called it a scaled gradient. Watch my very first scaled gradient tutorial here... you probably won't even think it was me.

There's tons of different possibilities, this is one of them! But in all honesty, it didn't turn out as it looked in my head. But that doesn't mean I wasn't going to share it with you😆

Technically one might call this a scaled reciprocal chevron patterned gradient and... it's just as confusing to do as it looks.

VIDEO TUTORIAL RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW !

8MIN TUTORIAL CAUSE THIS SHIT TAKES A WHILE:
(see also 15sec version on Instagram... but it won't make any sense)

Products used in this video:
(list of polishes at the end of this post)

piCture pOlish 'Chillax'

Models Own 'Shades'

Models Own 'Flip Flop'

Essie 'Matte about you'

I think it's pretty obvious I can't paint under pressure. That is, when I'm trying to film it.

Here's a look at the unnecessarily complicated design before the black lines:

  1. Lol gorgeous! I love watching these voiced over videos cause it's what I'm thinking like half the time. I'm doing some complicated nail art and inevitably blocking the camera which mind you is not as nice and yours and all the while doing that thinking. I've been doing this for like 4 hours. Wtf is actually going to do this nail art? Gah! Yeah something like that hahahaha. Anyway it ended up coming out spectacularly! I haven't tried a scaled gradient before I always stare at them like...hmmmmmm looks super hard lolol.
