I really wanted to do this look with more of a rich dark brown and a really saturated orange (but not pale, peachy or neon like all the variations of orange polish that I currently have in my stash), but I didn't have the exact colours I wanted so I ended up with this.
Polishes used:
- Essie 'Fifth avenue' (red with orange base)
- OPI 'I sing in colour' (burgundy creme from the Gwen Stefani collection)
- Orly 'Pointe blanche' (meant for french tips, but it makes the perfect opaque white undercoat in just two thin coats! I've been searching for one of these as all the other white polishes I have - Seche, Essie, Quo by Orly, OPI - take at least 3 medium coats to yield 100% opacity. The only thing with the Orly french tip polish is that the brush sucks for painting the full nail, so just swap in a brush from another white polish when you're ready to paint your white base and you're good to go!)
