Neon holo jelly wavy skittle

Neon holo jelly time with Beyond the Nail's new summer galaxy collection! You can see drool-worthy swatches of these six beauties here. Today I have for you my first nail art look using these versatile polishes. By versatile I mean that that they are indeed neon and holo, and because they are jelly in consistency, you can build them up on their own, use them over a similarily coloured creme base polish, as a holo topper over a dark polish, or to make jelly glitter sandwiches...! Is there a nail polish type out there that can do more than that?! Nope, don't think so.

I've used wavy squiggle nail guides from Beyond the Nail to create this look. The vinyl pack comes with two sizes of squiggles, but I've used just the thicker ones here. A step by step is provided at the end of the post under the video tutorial!

1 MIN OR LESS VIDEO TUTORIAL:

How I executed this mani:
  1. Apply 3 thin coats of neon holo jelly polish of your choice
  2. Apply quick dry top coat and let dry. I use Glisten & Glow's HK Girl top coat
  3. Stick squiggly/wavy nail guides on the nail using tweezers to assist
  4. Paint black polish over top of nail guides, dabbing lightly and carefully on the edges where it wraps around the finger so that the black polish does not bleed under the nail guide
  5. Remove the nail guides promptly but carefully with tweezers, making sure to follow the direction or 'groove' of the waves as you pull the guide back
  6. Wait a couple minutes for the black to dry somewhat so it does not bleed, then apply one final thin coat of holo jelly of your choice
  7. Finish with top coat of the your choice, and bam, neon holo jelly time!

- Beyond the Nail 'Supernova' (neon pink holo jelly)
- Beyond the Nail 'Asteroid' (neon blue holo jelly)
- Beyond the Nail 'Comet' (neon green holo jelly)
- Beyond the Nail 'Shooting star' (neon yellow holo jelly)
- Beyond the Nail 'Solar Flare' (neon orange holo jelly)
- Cult Nails 'Nevermore' (black creme)
