Oh em gee I did an actual GP (glitter placement)...! And I have to say that as a follow up to my last horrendous attempt at a GP, this one actually consists of placing the glitters and not just tossing them on hoping they line up. I used three kinds of mini hex loose holo glitters from The Sparkly Shop!
This mani was done as a bestie triplet mani between myself, Kristin of Lacquerstyle and Tracey of @missbellatracey on Instagram for our joint weekly nail art challenge, whose prompt this week was glitter placement and the theme being contrast. Pink and black cause I used to love Avril Lavigne, obviously.

Grumpy cat not a fan of holo glitter
What does Grumpy cat like anyways though? All I know is that he definitely probably more than likely is not a fan of sparkly awesome things such as holo glitter. So Liz of @sassafrassnails on Instagram and I decided to expose him to maximum levels of holo, muhahahhaha.
The grumpy cat portrait was hand-painted with acrylic paint and the holo glitter gradient is, well, nothing new from my side of the woods :D

It's a warm glittery Christmas with FUN Lacquer
I have an epic Christmas 2014 collection for your viewing pleasure today, brought to you by the one and only FUN Lacquer! The best part is that not only is this 8-piece rich and oh-so-unique Christmas collection available directly from FUN Lacquer (shipping out of Singapore), but they are newly stocked out of Live Love Polish, a US-based nail polish shop that ships out internationally as well! Exciting news for the indie polish addict in all of us.

Insane holo glitter scaled gradient
I've combined two of the things I love most: holo glitter and elaborate gradients, notably the scaled gradient, and now I've officially gone insane. I've used three FUN Lacquer polishes from their 1st anniversary collection, some of which are newly available from Live Love Polish, a new nail polish retailer that features core must-have brands like China Glaze and Color Club, but now they're carrying an increasing number of brands like FUN Lacquer!! Very exciting news for you, but not for your significant other.

It's holo glitter time with Painted Polish again
Cause you all know how much I love my holo glitter!! (Exhibit A and Exhibit B for Painted Polish, see also Exhibit C.) Lexi of Painted Polish sent me these glittery babies and although most of them are core stock and not collectively a 'collection', any excuse to do up some holo glitter swatches with a twist is good enough for me. Cause after all, I do suffer from HGDD (Holo Glitter Dissociation Disorder) and so when I see the shiny things in life it's pretty much impossible to bring me down to earth/reality. People keep trying though.

Happy holo-ween: A trio of holo glitters from Painted Polish
The only way to do halloween is to do holo-ween, obviously. Say hello to three new holo glitters brought to you by Painted Polish! This trio is expected to be launched for pre-order by later this week just in time for Halloween, so please check back on Painted Polish's website or on her social media feeds for updates.
To me, holo glitter is appropriate for any time of year, the only function of the seasons is that it gives us an excuse to buy all the holo glitters cause we MUST have that 2014 Holo-ween collection before it gets taken off the shelves forever, ya know.
See the swatch video for this collection here on Instagram!

Holo glitter heaven with FUN's 1st Anniversary Collection
Ohhhh yeahhh time to get dirt nasty. And by dirt I mean glitter and by nasty I mean holo-ey. F.U.N. Lacquer decided to give us all seizures of the holo sensing brain neurons for their first anniversary as an indie polish, and the creator Yuin was nice enough to let me play with her magical creations! Everyone knows I love holo, and glitter, and when you combine the two you essentially get knocked out of reality and exhibit symptoms of what the APA might consider adding to the DSM-VI: Holo Glitter Dissociation Disorder (HGDD cause psychologists love acronyms). You heard it here first!
FUN Lacquer will be restocking this limited edition and exclusive collection TOMORROW, Thursday, October 9th at 11:30AM EST / 11:30PM SGT. Get 'em quick cause I am quite positive that all those who bear witness to the entrancing effects of these polishes will flood the servers and raid the inventory within minutes of launch.

Halloween spiders: Dry brush and glitter galore
It's Halloween soon time, not that I care at all cause I haven't dressed up for 739759 years, but in any case I know some of you still care so here's some nail arts to match. Featuring spider-web stuck on love nail shields and spider decals from Love, Angeline plus a mish-mash of some of my new polishes, Painted Polish's '#PSL' (i.e., pumpkin spice latte) and 'Black widow' holo glitters, along with 'Off duty' from Color Club which is from their new Made in New York Fall 2014 collection*.

Déjà vu? Black and holo starburst scaled gradient with blinged out accent nail
So yes, this mani definitely looks like one I've posted recently, i.e., the triple starburst holo and black scaled gradient design I did for Nailpolis' celebration mani contest (which btw I didn't win, sad face). But I actually did this mani before the triple (pics are dated Aug 10), so what you see here was my first attempt at a starburst scaled gradient! I shyed away from attempting the triple off the bat, but my order of posting makes things look really deceptive, doesn't it? Muhaha.
Starburst nail vinys are from Nailvinyls.com, and evidently I added an accent nail featuring two infamous holo glitter polishes from Painted Polish by Lexi.

Lazy Sunday: Pure Ice glitter gradient
This simple two-polish mani was done about six weeks ago and like many of my other recent posts it seems, it got burried somewhere in my Mac hiding from publication. The inspiration for this mani? The polish line itself: "Pure Ice". I saw these two colours at Walmart and thought they would work beautifully for a simple icy glitter gradient. Doesn't hurt that Pure Ice is only $1.97 each at Walmart... and that's regular retail price!!!
