Fall-toned holo reciprocal X round gradient

... title is a mouthfull, once again. Meghan of Will Paint Nails for Food featured some fall nail arts on her blog today, and I'm happy to say she thought mine was worth including! Meghan is known for her detailed nail arts (and she actually paints her nails unlike me who just tends to blend colours all over the place), so be sure to go check her out! My submission was maybe a bit of a stretch from fall-inspired, but I got the colour scheme right cause I used three new holos from ILNP's fall collection, so, yeah.

VIDEO TUTORIAL AT THE END OF THE POST!

The first gradient layer, which is referred to as a 'round gradient' or 'circle gradient' was inspired by @banicured_'s technique I first saw on Instagram. I then used straight Nail Vinyls to make an X in the centre, and then added four corner gradients in each quadrant using a corner of a makeup sponge, but the colours going in the opposite direction as the first gradient layer. Not gonna lie, this was tricky, and I did have some issues with polish buildup which was mostly due to my inaccuracy of placing the original round gradient middle dark section exactly in the middle of my nail.

  1. OMG - your mani is awesome!!! I love those polishes - I have Champagne Blush on right now and while I have that itch for a new mani, I don't want to remove it! Black Orchid is going on next, hahah. I cannot tell you how much I am loving your mani. It is so gorgeous! And such a welcome break from the overload of Halloween nails I am seeing all over the Net!!!
