Merry (late) C(h)ristmas! How about a bunch of holo gradients? I went for a quadruple scaled gradient on my ring finger this time, for a Christmas tree effect! The other nails reminded me of abstract presents... somehow. Don't question me.

Easiest cat nails you will ever do

Cats on my nails!!! For this week's edition of the weekly nail art challenge (WNAC) I co-host on Instagram along with Kristin of Lacquerstyle and Tracey of MissBellaTracey, the theme is jewel tones and the prompt is mix & match! Which to me = where the fack I want. The people of the Internet (you) have been asking for cat nails, and while I'm no realistic portrait painter, the best I can do on a whim is cat nail vinyls. Can you believe I've had these for months and never used them?!

A whole week between nail arts this time, eh? *sweats* Meanwhile people on YouTube asking me to post videos every day and I'm like: umm..... YouTube is not my job. I am an average adult in society and work at a desk in an office with terrible lighting that does not do holo justice for 40 hours a week. So unless someone wants to go in for me every day (or pay me millions to quit), then I likely cannot post YouTube videos every day ;)

Multi-chrome glitter sun rays... with nail vinyls!

These were so challenging to photograph cause there's so much going on here: multi-chrome glitter + holographic base coat + glossy black design overlay = camera focus nightmare.

I used FUN Lacquer 'Precious' copper multi-chrome glitter (shifts from red to gold) layered on top of Color Club's signature copper linear holographic 'Cosmic Fate'. No but in all seriousness I've been obsessed with some of Taylor Swift's recent music videos like Style and now Bad Blood, because well, HOLY MAJOR PRODUCTION. And I get weak in the knees for all the video effects and pee myself at night thinking about how I could acquire such skills and incorporate them into my nail pornos. SO. Here's some blood-dripping nails that I wear in June and don't give a if it's not Halloween.

Colourblind eye test dotticure

Time to test your eyesight... what shapes do you see? Nothing? Not seeing anything yet? Ya me neither, but whatever, here's some confusing dottier fishtail nails!

Last Friday for the weekly nail art challenge I co-host on Instagram I did up some bright & black neon fishtail nails as a second attempt because THIS (down below) was my first attempt, and I was like, k no, ew. In my video tutorial on YouTube I asked you guys if you cared to see a tutorial for this dotticure that looks like those colourblind tests, and many of you said yes??? Why?? JUST WHY??? In any case, here it is!!

Neon fishtail gradient with an edge

Neon nails again! This time a bit more bad ass-ey, with some black glitterness going on here. This week's weekly nail art challenge (WNAC) that I co-host on Instagram along with lovely ladies Kristin of Lacquerstyle and Tracey of MissBellaTracey is neon + fishtail. I'm not even sure this is a fishtail mani... braid? Herringbone? Whatever, I'm pretending it's all the same.

I used three gawwwwgeous summer-ready neon polishes from Live Love Polish, and NARS 'Night breed' on top. I used stripe nail vinyls from Twinkled T to give me those clean lines, I chose these slightly thicker ones than striping tape to allow more of the pretty gradient underneath to show. Pastel neon ikat nailz

Some edgier nails than my last couple pastel annoying girly nails cause nails should be BADASS not CUTESY. It's ikat week for the weekly nail art challenge (WNAC) I co-host on Instagram along with lovely ladies Kristin of Lacquerstyle and Tracey of MissBellaTracey. What's ikat you ask? Idk, some pattern where people drew shapes then scribbled out of the lines and it became a trend.

I used four different pastel neon polishes for this look, from Color Club and Maybelline, along with some black and white acrylic paint. Links to all the products below!

Pretty pink leopard nailz OMG totes my style

Pretty pink leopard nails oh em geeee I LURRRVEE THEM. Actually no I despise pretty pink girly leopard print with bows n' shit cause GAHH I WANNA SCRATCH THEM OFF PPL'S NAILS WITH A KNIFE WHEN I SEE THEM (cause obv wouldn't wanna break my own nails). Nah, I don't hate them on other people that bad, but they're def not my style. So this is my April fool's mani (a day late whatever) cause, IT'S SO NOT LIKE ME AND I DON'T ACTUALLY LURRRVEE THEM OR WHATEVER.

Gradientception time: Scaled reciprocal gradient with black and holos!

GRADIENTCEPTION MUAHHAHAHA. Okay so at first you probably think it's just a checkerboard *whatever, yawn*, but look CLOSER! Yes, thats right, if you're thinking what I'm thinking, that's a SCALED RECIPROCAL GRADIENT say whhhhhaaaaat. So I did a scaled reciprocal gradient back in my neon happy days, and this is my second attempt and I tried a different pattern using the same logic/technique! The logic is basically insanity and the technique is essentially spending 8 hours doing your nails.

I used the infamous Color Club holos I got from Live Love Polish - their selection of these is unreal!!! HOLOSS 4 LIFE.

Random simple blue gradient with iridescent topper

So I'm basically just posting this randomness I did back in October of 2014 now cause I wouldn't want to post two swatch sessions in a row, right!? I dunno why I never ended up posting this one, it basically just sat in my editing folder for the last 6 months and now it's so dusty it looks like it's sparkling!!

Geometric square colour-blocking easy nail art

Some random modern-ish nail tip colour-blocking thing going on here! I made this using a white polish plus new polishes from Color Club's Made in New York and Seven Deadly Sins collection. Some of these are now available from Live Love Polish, a new online polish retailer (great for those in Canada and the US but they also ship internationally!). I used striping tape to mark off the 'grid' sections, and filled in some of the squares, then removed the tape. Super easy and great in any colour combo!

Textured fishtail braid nails

Wow, it's not holo glitter?! Nope, but still kinda sparkly, so s'all good. Today's nail art features three of the new Color Club textured polishes from the Seven Deadly Sins collection. I posted a couple others and some macro brush shots of the entire collection here, and today I have a particularly dark but nonetheless edgy look for you!
