Saving Pacific Blue by the chevron

Some of you nail polishaholics may have heard that Sally Hansen has changed the formula (and thus the colour) of 'Pacific Blue', a polish in the Extreme Wear line. See here are here for examples of this controversial and blasphemous corporate operations change.

Capital Polish and Reinovate initiated a movement to push back again the SH corporation by organizing a nail art/polish swatch collaboration of the original Pacific Blue in which we nail freaks stand in solidarity and demonstrate (non-violently, of course) the amazingness that is the true Pacific Blue.

I didn't even own this polish before all this controversy.... and then I went out and bought three bottles. I'm willing to bet that the sneaky bastards at SH headquarters intentionally switched the formula to get all of us nail polish crazies raiding the shelves of the last bottles of the original Pacific Blue. So they can take more of our money. Well, it worked. Whatever! If you don't already have a bottle, you have the chance at scoring the original Pacific Blue if you enter my giveaway (on Instagram only). You can also potentially score the fabulous neon orange Quo by Orly polish featured below, and the skinny chevron nail vinyls I used to create this mani!

Nothing too much to this mani, just two colours, huh?! I painted on the orange (with a slight shimmer eh!) as a basecoat, just two coats, and no white underneath. It's a very powerful orange, and I love it. It's not too yellow-leaning, it's just perfect. I then used my new fav topcoat, Glisten & Glow HK Girl, and let dry before sticking on my chevron nail vinyls in random designs. Top with Pacific Blue, remove vinyls, and voila! Let dry a bit and then finish with another glossy topcoat.

Here's two collab pics put together by Capital Polish and Reinovate. Can you spot mine?
