Nail time with the sister - Orange gradient

I did my sister's nails! Which is actually quite a challenging feat because she hates that shit. I thought I wouldn't see the day where she asked me to do her nails, but she actually came to me because she was headed to a wedding. I got so excited I didn't know where to start. I had to calm down a little and not get carried away, reminding myself that my usual go-to psycho striped/scaled gradient/colour-blocking pattern of madness look would not be suitable for a wedding.

She would be wearing an orangey-coral toned dress, so I went with this simple gradient with a thin white triangle look.

The finished product you're seeing here isn't up to par with what you normally see on my account... let's just say my sister has never heard of cuticle oil. Thus clean-up was really tricky. Her nails are usually bare, no filing, or nail care of any kind. I'm pretty sure she was adopted.

I did the base gradient first with the three Essie orange/coral-toned polishes over white, applied a quick dry top coat, let dry, and then taped off the triangle are down the middle of the nail, and finished off with a thick coat of white polish. Removed the tape, and voila, simple cute summer wedding appropriate mani!

My sister also happens to hate posing for pictures. This is all I could get out of her.

On the go we had to stop in for a local ice cream sandwich... nom nom nom.

- Essie 'Meet me at sunset' (orange creme)
- Essie 'Fifth avenue' (orange-leaning red creme)
